Using the AI Copilot
How to use the built-in AI assistant to manage your properties faster.
Tuluyan includes a built-in AI assistant called the copilot. It lives right inside your operator dashboard and can help you create properties, set up products, navigate pages, fill in forms, and answer questions about how things work.
Accessing the Copilot
There are two ways to open the copilot:
Side Panel
Click the chat icon in the operator dashboard to open the copilot as a side panel. The panel slides in from the right, so you can keep your current page visible while chatting.
The side panel is best for quick tasks while you are working. The copilot can see which page you are on and interact with the forms on that page directly. For example, if you are on the property creation page, you can tell the copilot what to fill in and it will set the fields for you.
Full-Screen Page
Go to Copilot in the operator sidebar (or navigate to /operator/copilot) to open the copilot as a full-screen page. This gives you a dedicated chat view with more room for conversation.
Full-screen mode is best for complex tasks like setting up a new property from scratch or configuring multiple products. In this mode, the copilot creates things directly through the system rather than filling in forms, so you can get a lot done in a single conversation.
What the Copilot Can Do
The copilot can help with a wide range of tasks:
- Create and update properties. Tell it the details and it will set up your property, unit types, and products
- Navigate your dashboard. Ask it to take you to a specific page (bookings, properties, settings, etc.)
- Fill in forms. While in the side panel, the copilot can fill in fields on whatever page you are viewing
- Answer questions. Ask it how features work, what a setting does, or how to accomplish something in Tuluyan
- Set up products and pricing. Describe your room types and rates, and the copilot will create the right products
Example Prompts
Here are some things you can say to the copilot:
- "Create a new property called Beach House in Batangas"
- "Add a Deluxe Room unit type with 2-person capacity and aircon"
- "How do I set up a cancellation policy?"
- "Navigate to my bookings"
- "Set the check-in time to 2:00 PM"
- "What payment methods can my guests use?"
The copilot works best when you are specific about what you want. Instead of "set up my property", try "create a property called Sunset Villa, it is a resort in Boracay with 10 deluxe rooms at 3,500 per night". The more detail you provide, the less back-and-forth you need.
Side Panel vs Full-Screen
| Side Panel | Full-Screen | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Quick tasks, form filling | Complex setup, multi-step tasks |
| How it works | Sees your current page, fills in forms | Creates things directly via the system |
| Access | Chat icon in the dashboard | Sidebar menu or /operator/copilot |
| Dashboard visible | Yes, side by side | No, dedicated chat view |
Both modes have access to the same capabilities. The difference is in how they prefer to work. The side panel leans toward visual form filling so you can see changes happen on the page. Full-screen mode leans toward direct creation so you can move faster through multiple steps.
Limitations
The copilot is a helpful tool, but it has some boundaries to keep in mind:
- It cannot process payments. Payment recording and refunds must be done by you through the normal dashboard flow
- It cannot access external systems. The copilot only works within Tuluyan. It cannot check your bank account, send emails, or interact with other platforms
- It may occasionally make mistakes. Like any AI assistant, the copilot can misunderstand your request or enter incorrect details. Always review what it creates before publishing or confirming
Everything the copilot creates or modifies goes through the same system as manual actions. You can always edit, undo, or delete anything the copilot sets up using the regular dashboard interface.
